This interactive class is designed for children ages 6 months through 11 months. Parents and their toddlers participate in the pool together. Games, riddles and songs are designed to help build and improve their endurance, kicking and body position while promoting confidence, survival skills and breath control. A major class goal is for each parent to learn how to help their child achieve comfort in, around and under the water. Classes are 30 minutes in length and have a student teacher ratio of 6:1. This beginner level class is designed for the nervous or fearful student who is not comfortable submerging their head under the water. Instructors will work towards full submersions and back floats while assisting the child to feel comfortable and confident in the water. Developing muscle memory is achieved through drills emphasizing breath control, buoyancy and proper kicks. Fins will be used to assist as learning aids. Classes are 30 minutes in length and have a student teacher ratio of 3:1. This beginner level class designed for the student who is comfortable in the water and will submerge their head under water willingly and happily. They will learn the basics of breath control, body posture, kicking and floating. Fins will be used to assist as learning aids. The student teacher ratio of the class is 4:1. This class is designed for children who have a solid understanding of floating, proper kicking and are comfortable in the water. The focus of the class is proper breathing techniques. Children will learn how to pop-up and roll over for air while swimming an increased distance. Inhale/exhale breathing exchange will be focused on while building endurance and survival skills. Children will learn the proper positions and breathing techniques for swimming formal strokes. Fins WILL be used to assist as learning aids in the SILVERFISH level. Children will NOT use fins once they have graduated to the GOLDFISH level. The class is 30 minutes in length and the student to teacher ratio is 4:1.

Freestyle and Backstroke are introduced. The key focus of the class will be to combine the roll over breathing technique with a freestyle stroke (arms & legs). Backstroke body rotation will be added to back kick. Inhale/exhale breathing exchange is perfected. Continued streamline and posture drills. Hip, shoulder and core rotation are improved in both Freestyle and Backstroke. Freestyle side breathing replaces roll over breathing technique.
